Too Rich to Receive

Luke 18:18-23-“For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God”. Does the bible condemn wealth or riches? The answer is no. However, if wealth is not properly handled, it can pollute your heart and life. You can become too rich to be truly touched by God. You might be too rich in sin, rich in self-will, rich in pride, rich in the pursuit of the frivolities of life, rich in living an anti-godly life style. What areas have you built up so much wealth in, that it has penetrated your heart and subtly pushed God out of your life? Think about it, examine yourself. Are you truly rich towards God, or are you rich in other things that makes the pursuit of God a huge struggle? Do you truly want God no matter what it will have to give up? Or is your Christianity just an outward show that does not really go deep. Remember that God will not accept half measures. It is either you allow Him take full charge of every area or not at all. Jesus wants to become your treasure and pursuit The rich young ruler wanted to serve God but he had areas reserved for himself alone where God was not permitted to interfere with. He was not willing to sell all in order to buy Jesus.
